Women's Track and Field Competes at NCC Quadrangular

RESULTS

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - With tough competition from North Central College, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Loras College, the Benedictine University women's track and field team improved on last weekend's meet and had 15 points at the NCC Quadrangular on Friday night. North Central won the meet with a score of 246.5.

Vanessa Mensie competed in the women's weight throw and finished 4th with a throw of 14.00m. She also finished 5th in the shot put with 10.08m.

In the 55-meter hurdles, Megan Kunesh placed 5th with 9.61 in the pre-lims to qualify for the finals where she also placed 5th with 9.87.

Megan Ryan competed in the 3000-m run where she finished with a time of 12:23.40, good enough for 7th place.

"Overall we had a much better meet," said head coach James Kluckhohn. "We raised our intensity level and competed much better across the board."

Next weekend, the women again compete at the North Central Quadrangular.
